I was looking for vegan food when I first arrived in Winnipeg and the person at the information desk at the airport recommended the Green & Grain. It's a small restaurant, located in a strip mall, that specializes in smoothies, wraps and salads. The person running it was very helpful in making me a customized salad with falafel that met my dietary needs for vegan and gluten-free. Best of all the salad was delicious! My husband also enjoyed his chicken veggie wrap. We enjoyed a pleasant conversation with our kind server about Winnipeg and life in general. It was a great experience!
