The Hide Coffee House & Cafe

A GREAT BIG, FANTASTICAL SHOUTOUT TO A LOCAL BUSINESS WHO RECOGNISES THE IMPORTANCE OF ALLERGY AWARENESS! Thank you so much The Hide Coffee House at Pennington Flash I had the pleasure of a day out with 2 of my granddaughters during the summer holidays. The eldest, Savannah who is just 6 has quite a number of serious allergies including all dairy, all nuts, gluten, Infact, the majority of the 14 main food allergens. When we go out anywhere, especially a park, it is very rare that she is able to have an ice cream. Our visit to the ice cream kiosk at the hide coffee house, she was offered not one, but 2 choices of icecream suitable to her needs. To say it made her day was an understatement, it made her summer, and mine…. The simple act of buying her an icecream brought tears to my eyes. The fact that we could buy an icecream meant so much. I must also give praise to the young lady working in the kiosk that day. She was very helpful and polite. She knew what I was talking about when I mentioned savannahs allergies and even offered for me to read the ingredients on the tubs and sauce bottles to satisfy my natural concerns. She was lovely! Im so sorry that I didn’t get her name, she too deserves a shout out 🙌. I messaged the hide coffee house to thank them, this was their reply: Hi. Thankyou so much for your wonderful feedback. Of course you can give us a shout out on Facebook. We completely understand how serious allergy are and can be and strive to ensure everyone has something available to them. I know on this occasion you didn't visit the actual cafe on site but we often have a cake option available which is Plant Based and Gluten Free, it also doesn't contain nuts. The only thing it does contain on the 14 main allergens is Palm Oil. Thankyou once again for this amazing feedback and we would love for you to leave us a review on Google also.
