The Island at Elizabeth Quay - Restaurant & Microbrewery in Perth

After a disaster a year ago and rude staff I decided to try again here on Valentine's weekend, only to discover they'd run out of gluten free options it was at a time when the Valentine's menu started 1½ hours away. So ordered sweet potato fries with aoli and a cocktail at $22. It was table service and while Imogen was helpful wed finished almost an entire bottle of table water and my cocktail was nowhere insight, she was too intent clearing two tables in an almost empty restaurant. I think this time was truly enough. I never got anything but water in well over half an hour.... Four people inside there was twice as many staff there's no excuse. Come on do better

We ended up just with drinks and sweet potato fries. The gluten tax is 30% on some items! 😱 Bit over the top, so be aware. Service was slow, had to move around inside to get the attention of bar staff to place an order. But a nice place to sit, and staff were friendly.
