I had a gluten free afternoon tea that was so generous I had to take most of it home in a box!! A rarity for coeliacs 😊 Plenty of offers on hand for (free) tea refills. Great service from friendly staff (particular thanks to Wendy who was awesome, and even had a separate table for the gluten free version brought over to make sure there was no risk. Absolutely brilliant, and very, very appreciated! Dietary needs were catered for, no questions asked, handled in the most friendly way.) I was delighted with how wonderfully they catered for me, and a huge thank you to the team. I felt very full and very taken care of. The afternoon tea was heavier on the cake side, which I personally prefer, but useful to know for anyone booking! In terms of what was provided: I had 4 finger sandwiches, 2 (large) scones with jam and a generous dollop of cream, and 7(!) cakes: 2 angel slices, a jam tart, a cherry bakewell, a brownie, and two slices of the most delicious carrot cake. Everything was soft and fresh, and they kindly offered a box to takeaway what I couldn’t manage. Astonishing value. Thank you, I will be back again.
