The Olive Tree Restaurant - Lithia Springs

This is a true Greek restaurant. The menu is not labeled gluten-free, with no cauliflower pizza or GF breads, I didn't ask about a designated fryer, but there were a few GF options. The food was pretty, and the broccoli was amazing. The best bang for your buck would be the gyro with the greek potatoes. I wanted melted butter or tarter for my shrimp skewers, but they only had margarine. I have new shoes, so the bathroom was pretty slippery once I found it behind the kitchen.

I was concerned about going to a Greek and Italian restaurant...why you might ask. Fair question...I am one of those gluten/grain free people! I know, I know...what should I expect when going to a Greek and Italian place, right? WRONG! There are plenty of places that will do their best to accommodate dietary restrictions and I am SO glad to report that this is one of them! Granted, it was a challenge for them and there are just some things that "normal" eaters just don't think about or have to deal with but y'all, they went out of their way to make it work! Of course a person with Celiac couldn't eat here but I got an AMAZING spin on the salmon piccata over sauteed spinach. Talk about a great comfort meal! This also speaks to the customer service! I was remiss in asking for the person's name that assisted me, but I'll get it when I go back. She was awesome! Her and the kitchen staff went out of their way for me to have an enjoyable meal. I loved the customer service and not just what I experienced! I saw several people come while I was waiting on my takeout order and it was consistently great service. Thank you Olive Tree! I'll be back!!!
