We celebrated our 12 year anniversary on Sunday and were staying at The Tropicana, so we decided to celebrate at the Palm. We were seated and were immediately offered water, but then nothing for 10+ minutes. I just wanted a cocktail. Our waiter was obviously busy, but it looked like there were a few of his tables in front of us stopping us from for our drink order. He was busy and that was understandable, and I could have waited for food, but just wanted a drink. My husband noticed what looked like a manager walking by and asked him if we might be able to order a drink. He immediately apologized and took our order and comped our drinks. We really didn't need that and were happy to pay for them, but we just wanted a drink! He sent another waiter over to make sure we were okay and then sent another over to take over the table, Will. Will was great. I cannot eat gluten or most dairy and my husband is on Keto and can't eat gluten. Will helped us be sure of our choices, John stopped by many times, and the food was AMAZING! My husband said it was the best steak he has had in a very long time (he had the bone in ribeye and I had the 18 oz NY Strip). We eat a lot of steak and at a fair share of the better places. I was VERY pleased with the comeback in service after our initial experience as this is not always the case in many $$ steak restaurants. We have had many disappointments on birthdays and anniversaries in the past. We spoke with Adam, another manager, on the way out with how pleased we were with how everything turned out. So, thank you to John, Will and Adam for making our 12th the best meal during our stay in Atlantic City, the best steaks we have had in as long as we have remembered, and taking care of us!
