The Pier Restaurant (Solomons Island, MD)

We were seated at a dirty table with tables around that had dishes and cups from people that already left. Those tables stayed dirty through out our service. I have a gluten allergy, when I asked about ingredients of the food, neither her or the persons in the kitchen knew about them. She did her best with the little info given to her by ownership and management. Beautiful location, eh service , sad food, lack of seasoning and the corn on the cob was so cold that when it arrived on the table I could hold in my hand and I can feel how cold it was plus it looked very sad. I hope they improve the quality of the food and train the wait staff properly so they don't feel like they are taking the brunt of poor management

First time at The Pier. I am gluten free so was impressed by the menu indicator showing which menu items are GF. I was also impressed by the number of GF options I had. The waitress was awesome - very patient with me as I asked questions about some of the menu options. Service was great and the food was very good. I had a steak topped with a crab in a blue cheese sauce with a glass of wine. My wife had fried shrimp, crab soup, and a glass of wine. Both meals came with 2 sides. The first picture is the view from our table, the second is the view when outside (e.g. leaving). Most of the seating indoors is by a window or you can sit outside in a glass enclosed area. We sat inside. I will definitely return and highly recommend both lunch and dinner at this restaurant.
