Thanks to my Plant Curious book for introducing me to Pizza Castle! Took out 3 medium vegan pizzas, and they were delicious. They don't charge extra for gluten free crust, which is a rarity in Vancouver and should not be overlooked (it is much appreciated). All of the pizzas were chock full of ingredients. Out of the 3 we ordered - Garden Life, Artichoke and Chickpea - our favourites were the Artichoke and Chickpea. The spice is minimal in the chickpea, but still had a sweet, tangy flavour reminiscent of butter chicken. The artichoke included beyond meat sausage in a creamy pesto sauce. Their vegan cheese melted well and was a worthy dairy substitute.
They have a small seating area and offer an $11.99 buffet for some of their vegan Indian dishes (kept in a warmer in the dining space). They also have a warmer on the counter with some ready-made slices. I will say that if I didn't look at their menu online in-advance, I'd be confused as a walk-in customer as their menu and prices are not advertised inside. Above the register, there's a sign with their burger offerings (no prices), but no mention of their buffet, pizzas or other Indian dishes. I'd recommend visiting their website first, as a new customer. Would recommend and will likely be back in the future!
