From UK, and lived on the North Shore for 2.5 years now and this was the first time we visited this pub. But we’ll be back!! We just stopped by on during a Tuesday lunch time (enjoying some staycation time) for a drink and a bar snack or 2. It was as quiet as you can imagine on a Tuesday afternoon but it still felt very welcoming. The staff were lovely. Helpful and polite. My gluten/dairy intolerant husband was helped with what he could have with no inconvenience felt, and the food was great. We had the nachos, fried shrimp and yam fries. All good! So, now I want to come back when I’m craving some comfort food- eying up that bangers and mash! Especially in the winter sitting by that beautiful fire!
If you’re from UK and missing a traditional pub feel and traditional pub food, it’s the perfect stop!
