Called in today for Sunday Lunch with family. The landlord and his team were extremely friendly, and attentive, and provided drawing materials to entertain my two young boys. One of our party is a coeliac, and the kitchen team couldn’t have been more helpful in seeing that the meal was gluten free, and more so giving them confidence about it. The cheese and onion pie was one of the best i’ve ever had, and the cask beer was extremely well kept. It was great to see how welcoming the team were of young children, which we appreciate can be trying for other diners when eating out. The new team at the Rope are getting things right, and our family left agreeing we’d been well hosted and had enjoyed a very positive experience. Thanks to all the team. We will be back soon!
