The Star, Malden Rushett

Stopped here by chance this evening for dinner and I'm so glad I did. Lovely big menu with Non Gluten containing options, vegan and veggie options (on the back) which was perfect. Great children's menu. Service was timely and there was a great little play area whilst we waited. Staff were friendly and helpful. My daughter and I each had a main and desert which we never do. Both were on the generous side apart from my daughter's beans which were small. We were full of food and happily skipped out the place. I would definitely recommend it if you're passing. Note the menu doesn't say coeliac friendly and there are signs making it clear that cross contamination can't be ruled out so not for coeliac guests but at least they are clear. We went here for dinner after going to Chessington World of Adventure. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was amazing and there was a good gluten free selection for my wife. We both had the ribs and the meat fell off the bone and had loads of flavour. Everyone had a good size portion so no one went home hungry. If I'm in that area again would definitely go back.
