I grabbed coffee and breakfast here several times while staying in North East. It was an easy walk from where we were staying on Main St, and it felt safe and comfortable walking to and from the shop. The coffee is reasonably priced. The smoothies were tasty, especially the watermelon. We also tried their cookies, quiche, and breakfast sandwich- all tasted good and like they were made in house. I gave them a 3 out of 5 for food because they did not have any gluten free desserts, so my friend wasn’t limited to getting a gluten free bagel. I recommend recommend adding more gluten free friendly items, especially baked goods, since gluten intolerance and allergies are common. The barista also wasn’t able to definitively state if certain items contained nuts, which I’m allergic to, and seemed unreceptive to asking for verification- I just got something else. Having an ingredients list, especially for items made it house, is vital to providing the best possible service when helping customers navigate food allergies and other dietary restrictions, which can be frustrating to have to ask about in the first place.
