We were really excited to try this restaurant. It started off good. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere. When ordering my food I had expressed my sensitivity to dairy to the waitress serving us. I had already had a coffee and baileys and didn’t want to push my luck by having anymore dairy in my meal. So she recommended the stuffed portobello mushrooms which were with goat cheese instead. I had asked her what was in the Bananas Rickster. She mentioned “bananas, cooked down with rum and brown sugar and all that good stuff”. She never mentioned it being on top of ice cream or a waffle. The person with me is allergic to gluten and we would have never ordered the bananas rickster had we of known it was dairy and gluten! We had to wait for dessert as the manager had to run to the store to get bananas. After she had given us our dessert I had mentioned to her I didn’t know there was ice cream, you never mentioned it when I asked you what was in it. Before I could say anything else she had cut me off and said, “ I may have said it quickly and you didn’t hear.” That was an extremely rude response! All the while, one of the investors “Jay” had friends coming to dine, Alison and James. So each waitress was going to the tables asking everyone their names and trying to figure out who the investors friends were. Extremely tacky! The stuffed mushrooms were delicious, however the side dishes had no flavor. I would not recommend this restaurant.
