The Brick Saloon

Just had dinner here after taking our feral 1.5 yr old trick or treating! First of all, I am an anxious introvert, so since my toddler is in her feral dinosaur stage, I have been avoiding the public. 🙃 We came prepared with Bluey, toys and juice, but sadly this was not enough to entertain our feral fawn. Our server, Lily, came in clutch with the wooden shape puzzle which surprisingly held her attention and kept the bone piercing shrieks to a minimum. The food, as always, was amazing. She heard us discussing my gluten intolerance and she stopped us from ordering a couple dishes that would have had my internals in an uproar (iykyk). She not only made excellent alternative selections (rosemary fries instead of waffle and nachos instead of quesadillas) she told the cooks and made sure the dishes were prepared separately! I’m blown away, because I do my best not to be a “burden” or “problem” so I never mention my intolerances and just do my best to order safe foods and just accept the risk I may get sick. So anyway, all this to say the Brick is amazing, Lily is amazing. Eat there. You won’t regret it.

A historic tavern famous for its long history, operational saloon bar, and relationship to the TV series Northern Exposure. Referred by a local as having good food that is reasonably priced. The Brick Burger is massive. Starting with a flavorful patty piled high with jalapenos, provolone, bacon, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles enveloped inside a gluten free bun. The rosemary fries were amazing – crispy, not greasy with just the right amount of rosemary. Service was attentive and friendly. The only things to note are that there is no AC and watch your step when entering/exiting the building. Free and paid street parking available.
