The Buck Hotel

We were invited here for a holiday party. The staff was so on top of things and the party was seamless. The food included a variety of buffet options and we were able to get a meal prepared with no gluten or dairy. The ham at the carving station is the reason to write this review... Best I've had! It wasn't your typical honey ham with unnecessary sweetness. Kudos to the staff and team that did a great job organizing this event.

We had the worst meal we've had in decades. We ordered gluten free as I am Celiac. The chopped iceberg lettuce arrived with bread croutons and dressing. When I sent it back I was told the croutons were fine( they were not, there were 50 of us and everyone got the same) then they said the dressing had a problem and produced something called Italian which was thick and creamy and unrecognizable, except I was afraid of it. Then we were served prime rib. I asked for rare and was told that was impossible as it was carved of a large roast. It came Brown as leather and tough. The dessert was a slice of Madeira cake with a swirl of cream and two berries. Of course I could not eat it. We will not go there again
