The Capital Grille

We recently went to The Capital Grille to celebrate my graduation, and it was absolutely perfect! The service was top-notch — our waiter, Marcelo, went above and beyond by giving me a complimentary dessert, champagne for the table, a congratulatory card from the staff, and even a printed group photo for us to take home. He also decorated the table with fun graduation-themed decor, which made the night feel extra special. The food was incredible — everything tasted so fresh, and my steak literally melted in my mouth. My cocktail was also amazing, I could barely taste the alcohol (which I prefer). One thing that really stood out was their attention to dietary needs. My brother’s girlfriend has celiac disease, and they had a dedicated gluten-sensitive menu. They even brought her gluten-free bread, which she really appreciated. Excellent service, delicious food, and a memorable experience overall. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be coming back!

The new Capitol Grille in Dedham is a beautiful place. We had lunch, a Cobb Salad with Tenderloin, and the Grilled Tuna entree. The Cobb is a little unconventional as it is tossed, not composed, but all of the elements were there - greens, hardboiled egg, blue cheese, bacon. (The tenderloin was more done than I like it, but that was my fault, because the very pleasant server asked my preference in detail and I decided that rare would be better for an evening out rather than lunch.) The tuna entree was outstanding, a thick steak, beautifully crusted with sesame seeds and properly rare. It came plated with sticky rice and a swirl of glaze for color, and for the side dish, a house salad. The bread basket had seeded rolls, a big cracker and butter with sea salt. The room is well appointed with a luxury steakhouse look and feel. The swing music is pleasant and suits the mood. Really a lovely and special place. Also, the menu pricing is reasonable for the quality of the experience. Service is polished and friendly. Vegetarians and gluten free diners would be okay, and children too. There's a parking lot and valet parking too, which would be useful on a busy night. It's handicapped accessible, and the seating is very comfortable.
