Great to see gluten free and vegan labelled on the menu, but the prices are absolutely insane. £18 for a small vegan burger and chips! £9 for a tomato soup. Wow. That's more expensive than London prices and a lot worse value. On the plus side the staff were lovely and helpful.

This pub felt like a chain, slightly soulless. The lighting is a bit bright, the staff were overworked and stressed. There were very few gluten free options and when I asked about one dish I was told it "should be fine" and that didn't fill me with confidence so I had one of the few other things without gluten on the menu - the steak. I asked for medium-well done but got very-well-done. Very chewy and flavourless. That said my partner had the home made fish pie and enjoyed it. I can imagine it might be nice for a drink in the beer garden in the summer.
