The Catfish Place

Absolutely love this place! It’s not only the most welcoming restaurant in town, but they also go above and beyond when it comes to accommodating dietary needs. They’re the only spot in town with a dedicated gluten-free fryer, which is a game changer for anyone with celiac or gluten sensitivity. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always makes you feel at home. So grateful to have a place like this in our community!

We had an amazing time at The Catfish Place! Me and my friends came down to Florida from Canada, we got a recommendation from Andrew at Gatorland to come to the Catfish Place for true, authentic, Floridian Cuisine. And boy did it exceed expectations! Delicious and perfectly fried Catfish, Gator, Frog Legs, Oysters, Clams, Shrimp, Okra and Hush Puppies. Complimented by hand made sauces, sides, and freshly made coleslaw. Truly delicious! Futhermore, my sister is celiac, we weren't aware that the restaurant was a fried food place till we got there. She was incredibly worried about cross contamination, but she was able to eat her fill without any stomach issues! Genuinely so impressed with the staffs attention to our dietary concern. They fried all her food in cornmeal, and it was just as delicious as our gluten-filled food! Thank you so much to Rachel for her amazing service, and thank you for getting us our Floridian Poutine!
