Came in for late lunch today with my friend around 2:45/3. It was empty/maybe 7 tables in the entire restaurant. Veronica our server came over to greet 7 minutes after we were seated. I let her know that I had a gluten allergy ( I have been here before and the other server I had was extremely knowledgable and would double check with the kitchen/act extra cautious regarding my allergy which I really appreciated because its new for me) Anyways, this server came back around and took our order- she didnt understand very well what I was requesting for a meal with my allergy. She then put our order in and we didnt see her for a good 20 minutes. My drink was empty for a while and she finally came over for refill. After then a good 40 minutes went by and we still didnt have our food. The 4 top next to us who sat 10 minutes after us got their food WAY before us. We made eye contact with the server multiple times and she not once came over to acknowledge us after the fact that she served anothother table their food infront of us. I then had to pull the manager over (cant remember name but he had glasses) explained and he didnt really seem too apologetic, he said hed check on the food, came back then non chalantly said that my friends pasta dish “has been ready) but my sandwich wasnt because the cook made a mistake and did fried chicken instead of grilled and they were just “fixing it”. He offered me something else while we waited so I asked for the fries that come with my sandwich (fries were cold/hard so I nicely asked for new ones and the new ones were fine). Food came out finally but at the end of the day the manager didnt offer to comp or pay for desert which I was completely shocked by. At that point, we were extremely annoyed and wanted to leave. At the end of the day, as a server you should come over and acknowledge your table to inform your customer a mistake was made. If I didnt pull the manager over for an update, I dont know how much longer the food wouldve taken. The server barely paid any attention and never apologized for anything throughout our time. As someone whose worked in a restaraunt for 6-8 years as head expo in kitchen and on the floor, its frustrating having experiences like this. We were nice and patient our entire time and the least they couldve done was comp something off of our bill or offered desert. I really love that location but Im not too sure if I want to go back considering how non chalant everyone was.
