I’ve not eaten at a Cheesecake Factory since becoming gluten intolerant, about 7 years ago. I visited the Pittsford NY location yesterday with family members for lunch. I checked for gf menu suggestions on line prior to ordering. I also confirmed with the waitress when ordering and receiving the food items that they were in fact gf. It’s a humbling experience attempting to trust a person/restaurant that could potentially make you very sick for a couple of days. I’m generally not a fan of chain restaurants, because I’ve found their employees the least diligent and concerned. I became ill with classic gluten symptoms a few hours after eating. Given the fact that it was my first meal of the day, and knowing what I ate the prior day had zero chance of causing any issue, I am positive that the food I ate contained gluten. I rarely write reviews, but as I’m awake and very uncomfortable at 4am, I felt the need to warn others that this is not a safe option. Some people are choosing to limit gluten, please understand some get very sick. Please be more responsible.
