The Chippo Hotel

My partner and I recently had a great meal together here - and that is an unusual thing for a neighbourhood pub because I’m coeliac! They offer a well-labelled menu; I tried the gf version of the eggplant parm which was one of the better meals out that I’ve had in ages. Depth of flavour, expertly cooked eggplant, and huge portion, and a kind member of waitstaff who triple checked with me that everything would be safe for me when they dropped it off to our table. A+.

Came back here on invitation from Chippo after a mediocre meal we had a month ago and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered a chicken parma and my partner ordered a gluten free eggplant parma. The eggplant parma was delicious - well seasoned (had a bit of heat!), well cooked, generous, and delivered to the table with extra care to ensure that it was safe for her (she is coeliac). Apparently Chippo has hired new chefs and they really delivered. Also the waitstaff and service was great. We live in the area and can definitely see ourselves coming back here
