The Chippy Al Seef Village mall

We've only ever had excellent experiences here. The portions are massive and we can't help but finish them they're soooo good. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. We've moved out of the area but I'm regularly craving this place. It's very few places you've eaten at often and still crave and this is one of them for me. Plus they have a gluten free option which is amazing.

Let me tell you about my visit to Chippy, which was really unpleasant. First of all, the establishment closes at 10:00 PM which i found pretty strange for an F&B establishment in the city. Now let’s talk about the food, as it was unfortunately bad. My friends and i ordered: the chippy burger meal, 2 orders of shrimp and chips but one of them was ordered gluten free, as well as a side order of onion rings. Let’s start with the burger meal, which comes with coleslaw, which was for whatever reason not available. The burger itself was extremely fishy, reminiscent of unclean fish and had a very unfortunate taste. Next were the shrimp and chips. A lot of the chips were simply undercooked and extremely starchy and the hefty meal comes with quite literally a dollop of tartar sauce, nowhere near enough to consume the oily mess that was those shrimps. The gluten free breading was slightly chewy which was weird, but hey, at least they have such options. the one redeeming thing were the onion rings, as i’d say they were the only edible thing they served us. also, i failed to mention that we asked for sauce to eat our “food” with and just like myself, the server failed to mention that she was charging us for these sauces. anyway we paid and left and i really wish i could go back an hour in time just to check the reviews and not go here. save your money, a stomach ache and overall a terrible experience and go literally anywhere else…
