The food was fine (for lunch) and the atmosphere was adequate given its location to other attractions in Hershey. Where the experience plummets off a cliff is with the staff. I came with my family at a prime dinning hour (1pm) and the staff had absolutely zero personality. Every waitress seemed as if they wanted to be anywhere else but at the restaurant and the attentiveness of our waitress was equally apathetic. The hostess sat us at a booth (2 adults, 2 young children, and an infant in a car seat) and said the car seat “should fit” in the booth. Zero attempt to see if it would fit or at least wait to see if we could fit it before leaving. Overall, the Chocolate Avenue Grill is nothing outstanding. It’s merely a functioning facility that can serve warm food. I will also point out that they do not have an allergy friendly menu and to ask the staff if they have any gluten-free options seems to be an inconvenience to the restaurant.
