It’s a cornerstone of Blackheath where many conferences happen. It has a nice view of the Heath and is very close to the centre. The staff are friendly and make an effort to meet your needs (I’m gluten free). The food is surprisingly good and very generous. But it has also barely changed in the last decade, probably longer. The interior varies from modern to literally 70s yellow flower tiles. The potential is all there, it’s just long overdue a refit. The corridors have wonky carpets and old lighting. Chintzy little chandeliers and oddly shaped spaces which need a rethink. Add to that single glazing in many communal spaces. Go, you’ll have a good time and be fed well - and the location is great.

Amazing staff, poor quality food. Pate seemed like it was cheap tesco, no gravy on the pork if you're gluten free. My companions with normal diets weren't too impressed with it either
