The Clermont

If I could sum up the Clermont in 4 words it would be.....A very classy venue! I got to experience the Clermont last week for the first time and it definitely lived up to expectations and the positive recommendations from other friends & family. The Clermont is based on the main street in Blackrock, Louth. It is extremely well decorated & decor of the restaurant is just first class. They also have an amazing real tree situated in the main dining area which really adds to the classy atmosphere. The service and attentivness of the staff was also exceptional. We never felt at one moment that we weren't being waited or looked after. The waiters/waitresses knowledge of the menu was very good, especially when asking questions such as gluten frees options from one of the people in our party. The menus are well laid out and there is a great selection of tasty options to pick from, especially the drinks menu as there is a huge selection drinks, gins, wines, whiskys to suit all tastes. The food was also very tasty and well presented and drinks were very tasty. The only criticism I could really find with the Clermont is the pricing of the menus. The prices are "expensive" and the Clermont really caterers itself to a premium market / high profiler spending customer and kind off puts you off ordering much more than what you want as you know your bill will sky rocket quickly! (Example, €10 for a starter of 10 chicken wings is a bit much, no matter how nice they were.) But apart from the above I really couldn't fault it at all and will definitely be a returning customer. 👍
