Coffee was great. Best thing they offer here. Folks working were nice. It’s seat yourself, so keep that in mind. I ordered the smoked salmon on a gluten free bagel. The bagel was alright but didn’t taste like it was made in-house. My boyfriend got the “ribeye” steak breakfast burrito. We were expecting actual steak cut up but it came out as just ground beef. It should be marketed as a beef burrito rather than steak - also didn’t have much flavor going on there. For sides, we snagged an order of grits and a hashbrown. The grits were the most flavorful thing we ordered food wise. Slightly cheesy, and maybe cooked with broth instead of water to impart flavor? Hashbrown was giving Trader Joe’s hashbrown and given that one order is $3 you’re better off buying the pack of 10 at TJs for the same price. Atmosphere was cute and trendy, but there are definitely other brunch/lunch spots in the area with better options. Too expensive for the quality of food.

I had time this morning before work, so I decided to check out a local cafe that was close to work. The Clover & the Bee did not disappoint. I got a gluten-free bagel with cream cheese and an iced oatmilk latte. I can only have a little dairy, so "spending" it on the cream cheese was worth it, lol. The GF bagel is a good consistency (if you have to be gf, you know that can be hard to come by), and the latte is smooth - perfect. I will get it a little sweet next time (I usually get a plain latte when I try a new place so I can try the espresso), but it is very delicious as is. The atmosphere is very chill, and the smells are wonderful. The staff is chill as well, and it's clear that they get along with the manager. They have numerous other pastries, a great selection of meals, drinks, and great music playing on the radio. Thank you, guys, for a wonderful treat on this Monday morning!

If you have to follow a gluten-free / dairy-free diet, I would not recommend Clover and the Bee for breakfast/brunch. My husband and I live in the neighborhood and have eaten here a few times. The gluten-free portions are very inconsistent. Today, I paid $18 (plus 18% tip on our $60 bill) for one piece of Udi’s size gluten-free bread cut in half with some avocado & nuts/ citrus on top and two eggs. My mom’s $9 Classic breakfast sandwich was at least twice more food than I had on my plate. Last time I ate here I got two pieces of the bread with avocado which was at least a little better of a value (still expensive!). I talked to Alfonso the manager, but he told me that what I had on my plate was correct for $18 and that there was “labor involved.” He offered to bring me some more plain bread, but I thanked him and told him I didn’t need just plain bread and that I wouldn’t return. I’m really disappointed since it’s such a local, close to home option. Hatch’d, Songbird, and The Shack are all much better breakfast/brunch options for gluten-free individuals. They won’t let you leave hungry!
