We called and made a reservation for a Friday during the April school break. It was our mom's birthday, and we all wanted to take her out to celebrate. When we arrived, the hostess was not aware, nor had notes, that our party of 11 was coming. She had to ask someone who then informed her we were, in fact, scheduled for a small room upstairs.
Once we got upstairs, we were comfortably seated. The room had extra furniture (chairs and such), but that worked well for a member of our party who is on the spectrum to have a few spaces to move between.
The restaurant was busy, so the service took a little bit. It took 25+ minutes before we were able to get a drink order in. We started to notice our server was trying to accommodate her customers on the first floor plus our party upstairs. We felt bad after a while as it was obvious she was working double duty and with little assistance.
Ultimately, the food choices were great. The family loved their meal. The portions were decent size, and gluten-free options were available, which included the haddock entree and brownie dessert pictured. It took two of us to finish the dessert. My husband enjoyed his prime rib. And our whole party got a kick out of the take out boxes having pre-written fun messages on the outside of the lids.
Overall, we would likely visit again and just adjust our expectations around service time. If you are looking for a great place to sit and have a conversation, this is an awesome opportunity.
