We finally made it to The Copper Dock, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding food, every part of the evening was spot on. We even had the pleasure of meeting with one of the new owners, Shreyansh—a local to the area and also the owner of The Butler Inn Pewaukee and Sandra’s on the Park in Hales Corners. He shared that they plan to keep everything fans already love while enhancing what’s already working. Like he said if it's not broken, don't fix it. A win-win if you ask me!
Here’s what we tried, and it’s safe to say, we’ll be back for more:
Starters:
-Peel & Eat Shrimp (special): Served with house-made cocktail sauce—fresh and delicious!
-Whipped Feta Cheese: Topped with honey and pistachios, served with toasted pita. They were super accommodating and brought Anne a side of carrots to keep it gluten-free.
-Baked French Onion Soup: Rich and flavorful, topped with melted cheese. (No croutons for Anne, and it was still amazing!)
Mains:
-Creamy Parmesan Chicken Piccata: Lightly seasoned chicken breast seared and served with a lemon-parmesan-caper cream sauce. Anne enjoyed hers gluten-free with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a spinach salad with mushrooms, hard-boiled eggs, and homemade bacon dressing.
-Macadamia Crusted Grouper: Pan-seared filet with a light macadamia crust. I paired mine with their mushroom risotto and green beans—every bite was incredible. My house salad with mixed greens, strawberries, toasted pecans, and homemade lemon vinaigrette was a vibrant standout!
Dessert:
When our server Niki brought out the dessert tray, resisting was not an option!
I went with the Italian Lemon Cream Cake, and wow—absolute perfection.
Anne opted for the Flourless Chocolate Cake, which was equally indulgent and delicious.
If you haven’t been to The Copper Dock yet, now’s the time. Everything from the service to the food and overall experience was fantastic.
