We went here for dinner for the first time yesterday afternoon (we visit Wilmington a couple of times annually). My wife has celiac disease and is also allergic to tomatoes. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating; the food and service were outstanding! We highly recommend The Copper Penny for both celiac and non-celiac!

I am gluten free (allergy/medical) and had the BEST experience at Copper Penny! I had the BEST burger! The waitress was fantastic, she understood celiac needs and concerns. She made sure to explain the shared kitchen, but made sure the kitchen staff was as careful as possible to accommodate my needs. The fryer is shared, and she let me know without asking, and recommended the salad as a safe side. The burger was amazing - the best I’ve had in a while - and the bun was tasty. I would not hesitate to eat here again, it was a great experience.
