The Copperfield

I have been to this restaurant twice the second time the staff didn't handle my food allergies well. I have a dairy and gluten allergy. I asked if the coleslaw was something that I can have (not all coleslaw has dairy/milk). The waitress went back to check and confirmed and reassured I COULD have it. After getting the food I was alittle suspicious of the coleslaw I ate a small bite - I hate to not trust, now I know better. I was abit anxious so I flagged down staff and asked them to check again. In under a minute a manager was running at our table and said there is buttermilk in the coleslaw, at that point I already knew as I was starting to get a allergic reaction. They comped my meal. The manager was kind and accommodating but was still not a good experience.

Portions were generous without being too big. Food options were great for those of us who are gluten free. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere is comfortable, upscale and neighborhood friendly at the same time. Bring your kids or a first date, both work! Only downside... food wasn't hot, not cold, but not hot. I was disappointed in the waffle fries. Cold, bland and not appetizing. Thought it was our order, asked for fresh and they were just as disappointing. Overall, would highly recommend!
