The Crooked Billet Inn

A truly terrible meal. My daughter’s meal was inedible, she had a children’s tomato pasta that had clearly been nuked in a microwave. We sent it back. The veggies had all been covered in cling film and microwaved. They were semi raw and tasteless. I had salmon with mash potato, the potato was soo dry and again you couldn’t eat it. Not sure a chef had a cooked this or it was mostly microwaved with the chips being fried to death. The place was dirty with grease on the ridges of the tables and the chairs feeling greasy as you pulled them out. Also very little options for vegetarians or coeliacs. We won’t be returning.

The food here was OK but not outstanding if I'm honest. I feel we could have got a cheaper better quality meal at a carvery pub. The Chicken was very dry and the Veg was slimy and reheated. My husbands burger had no side salad just literally a burger and chips on a plate. We chose here because it stated there was a gluten free menu but really there was just a few options. Positives were the homemade soup was delicious. Negatives they pack so many tables in so it's very overcrowded and loud. Very expensive for what it was.
