The Crown

Stopped in to the crown after a long day tackling the caen Hill locks. After a short walk from the canal we were met by friendly staff and a good range of drinks on offer. Being a family of 3 consisting of a veggie, a coeliac and 1 that eats anything we all had plenty of options to choose from. We were reassured that if the menu said gluten free it truly was and to my delight they even had gf sticky toffee pudding that also tasted amazing - a rare find! Would highly recommend stopping in here on your travels on the K&A canal!

Called in for a drink last week, saw the food going to other tables and we booked for lunch on the following Monday. It is good to know we can eat out on a Monday, as most places close Mondays. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Food piping hot and plentiful. I am Gluten Free and the menu is marked g/f. I didn't have to ask "what's g/f" They also stock Wadworth 6X Gold g/f beer, so I can enjoy a cold beer. Staff very friendly. We are coming back for a Sunday lunch.
