The Curragower Bar and Kitchen

This place was such a surprise!!! When my friend suggested that we go there I was skeptical, without even knowing the place. I’m really glad she insisted. Gluten free food was available and tasty, but the premises were even better (and I really care about good food)! I appreciated the fine setting, the staff attire and the amazing view. Even if it was pouring rain we could enjoy a high quality meal facing the Castle. I definitely recommend it!

There's a little confusion when it comes to allergen info in the menu. I would normally say (G) means GLUTEN but here it is GLUTEN-FREE while in any other restaurant I've been, GF means gluten free. One more thing I only learned after having my dish served with bread and asking about it - options marked with (G) CAN be made gluten-free, but by default they aren't, so you always have to ask. I wish it was less complicated! The chowder was delicious though and the restaurant is beautifully located as it overlooks the river.
