The Darling Oyster Bar

Highly recommend this place. I come here at least once every time I come to Charleston. The scallops are great and the fry baskets are incredible. I have a gluten and dairy allergy so getting fried seafood and fish is impossible for me most places but they use corn meal and an egg wash here. I also get oysters here and they always have a great and diverse selection. The cocktails are great too and the vibes. I’ve had the same server each time too (Chelsea is her name I believe) and she’s incredible. She gives great recommendations and is very knowledgeable about what I can and can’t have based on my allergies.

The food was so bad we ordered a variety of things and there were a few options that none of us could dare to have a second bite of. One of our guests has celiac disease. The waiter needed more training because he said everything on the menu was gluten free when that wasn’t true at all. It was overall not good, the kinda meal where you feel sick after.
