My all time favourite cafe! The Dolls House is independently run and owned, and the staff are always polite, kind and welcoming. We have been coming here for years and everything on the menu is great! They always have lots of homemade cake 🍰 options, including vegan and gluten free options. The brunch pancakes 🥞 are delicious, as are the milkshakes.🥛 The vintage style decor is really cute and they always have appropriate seasonal displays in the front window. 🍁❄️🌸🌞

Booked a table for my daughters birthday for 2/3 adults and 4 kids (including 2 babies) and was told that I can’t bring in a pram because it’s too narrow. I arrived 10 minutes late due to traffic and finding parking (both terrible round here) and trekked up the hill alone with the kids, carrying 2 car seats only to receive the most frosty and rude greeting I’ve ever had in a cafe. She ruined my daughter’s birthday with her insistence on arguing instead of just seating us, and she didn’t have the table we requested available. Would have been a big order and we used to come here frequently as my daughter loved it. Told others about the afternoon tea being good for gluten intolerance and sent customers. Never coming back again. Horribly rude manager. I even asked her if she could stop as it was upsetting my daughter and she kept on her rudeness. She’s often a bit off but was particularly horrible today. Avoid. Waitresses are lovely. Food is okay. Atmosphere and attitude of manager is horrible.
