I was intrigued by what I had read online about the Duke being able to provide gluten-free fish and chips, so I tried it out. They have a dedicated fryer for fries, and will pan fry the fish, to prevent cross-contamination. The server was willing to further modify my fish to also make it egg free, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and cosy on a very rainy day. No regrets with my first pub visit in St. John’s!

Awesome place. Really nice atmosphere inside. Great gluten free fish and chips and a good selection of beers. Good place to stop by for a quick bite with friends while shopping downtown or your start to a night on tbe town.
