We had a fantastic brunch experience at The Egg Bistro in Chesapeake (Kempsville) and can’t say enough great things about Aspen, our server. Our group of six included three young kids, and Aspen was absolutely outstanding—friendly, efficient, and incredibly patient. She made the entire table feel welcome and taken care of from start to finish.
The food? Incredible across the board. The kids devoured the chocolate chip pancake topped with whipped cream and a juicy sausage—a clear favorite. The fruit parfaits and bowls with granola, chia seeds, and honey were fresh, colorful, and beautifully presented. Adults in the group enjoyed everything from the perfectly crisp hash browns and rich Eggs Benedict, to a vibrant avocado toast on gluten-free bread, topped with tomato, cucumber, and creamy cheese. The steak and eggs platter was hearty, flavorful, and also served with gluten-free toast, which was a big plus for our group.
Aspen kept everything flowing smoothly and even made time to connect with the kids. Her upbeat attitude and attention to detail elevated the entire visit.
It’s not easy to find a spot that nails the food and the service—especially with a mixed-age group and dietary needs—but this place delivered. We’ll definitely be back, and next time we’re requesting Aspen again!
