The Eleanor Room

We have been coming to The Eleanor Room for a decent amount of time and have always loved the food, drinks, ambiance, and service. Unfortunately that was all far from our most recent experience. Although we were both very excited to see an expanded menu, when questioning whether somethings were or were not labeled gluten free, we were told there were typos in the menu. I proceeded to order the risotto, which had been my “go to” since day one of dining here, and my significant other ordered a Cesar salad. It took an EXTREMELY long time to get either meal and a drink. Sadly when our food did arrive, it was awful. The risotto had absolutely no flavor and was not “creamy” like the menu indicates (and like the risotto we’ve had here before) and the salad had more brown chunks of lettuce than fresh/green lettuce. It was a really unfortunate (and expensive) experience. Hoping kinks can be worked out because we don’t want to take Eleanor out of restaurant rotation.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere! I loved the historical vibe. Our server Breelen was great and very attentive to Gluten Free needs.
