The Fainting Goat Bar and Restaurant

I went to the Fainting Goat for the first time today with friends. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and the chocolate torte cake. The sandwich was very crispy and portion was huge. The sweet potato fries were good. The chocolate torte cake was gluten free and very delicious. The other people in my party got shrimp scampi, crab cakes, baby back ribs, and wings. They seemed to enjoy their orders. There was a live musician playing during part of our meal. He was very good. My only complaint was that it got busy and the server got busier with other tables and was not able to take care of us in a timely manner. We had another commitment so could not wait. I would come again but would come during a slower time or when I am not in a rush.

As a vegetarian, I love this place as there are quite a few apps and dinner choices for non-meat eaters. I believe I saw some gluten free options too for people with health restrictions. Staff is friendly and they have redone the inside of the place beautifully. I was not a fan of the name at first but I’ve been told that “we” the patrons are supposed to be the stressed out fainting goats so looking at it that way, it is kinda cute.
