The Food Pit

Used to like this place but it’s not great for allergies. What’s the point of having a gluten free tag on the menus and then not applying it to anything? The get out clause of “talk to our staff” isn’t a solution. Many of us don’t want to have a little meeting before ordering something. Just have a gf menu with modified versions or list what’s gf on the menu. It’s not difficult to do that. When you go abroad it’s incredibly common. We’re just useless at it in Durham

I had a great time at the The Food Pit, our server (Dan, I think!) was bubbly, accomodating and service was fast, despite being under staffed. I would recommend eating here, especially if you have food allergies! There was a lot of gluten free options.
