The Forge Pizzeria

My pizza (Vesuvius) looked great but was extremely salty, most likely due to anjovis that had not been soaked. This pizza was also supposed to contain gorgonzola but I did not detect any, possibly because the anjovis taste might have overwhelmed the gorgonzola taste but I also did not notice any gorgonzola visually. My wife's gluten free pizza was much smaller, and there was not as much toppings as you would have expected for the price (especially considering that there was a $4 surcharge on the gluten-free base). All pizza prices seemed to be about $5 higher compared to other pizzerias of similar quality that we have recently visited. Service was very friendly but it took longer than expected to place our order - and get a drink while we were waiting for our meals. In fact my beer arrived after I had received my pizza.

We had three gluten free pizzas and they were near $120 which seems a little expensive and the taste wasn’t anything exceptional. Staff were friendly but the service was average. Perhaps the non gluten free options are better.
