I went during the harvest festival and got to meet the owner. I gave her the biggest hug and thank you. That was the first time I've had waffles in years. Since I started my celiacs journey. The first bite made me do a happy dance and hold back tears. This restaurant is a godsend and I haven't stopped talking about.

We've visited the past two Friday nights and are genuinely excited to have another option in Rockford for fresh, healthy food — especially with so many gluten-free choices available. That said, our experiences so far have been a bit disappointing. There really needs to be more presence from management. It’s frustrating that eateries like this don’t stay open later to serve the dinner crowd. Many families in the area don’t have time to cook, and getting there by 6 p.m. is tough. While this spot is open until 7 (which is better than the other similar eatery), it’s been super busy around that time — and both times we’ve gone, they were already out of many food items. Most of the cooked veggies, undercooked, and not the quality that I known they have the ability of serving. The young staff working have clearly been doing their best under pressure, but they’ve also seemed stressed and overwhelmed. They’re learning, and that’s totally understandable — but they need support. It’s concerning that the owner appears to be largely absent. A hands-on presence would make a huge difference, both in keeping things running smoothly and in supporting the team on the ground. Our order was also mixed up on one visit, though we did receive a comp meal ticket, which we appreciated. We do plan to come back, because the concept and food are great — but we really hope the owner steps up, shows up, and starts backing the team better. The potential here is huge, but only if it’s run with care and leadership.
