The Friendly Toast

My friend and I went here because we have enjoyed our experiences at other Friendly Toast locations. I have always been impressed by the care they take with allergies and cross contamination as someone with celiac. The first sign that something was off was that they brought my vegetarian friend scrambled eggs with bacon and no toast when she asked for no meat and an everything bagel. Then when she got her bagel she asked for cream cheese and the waitress said, “scallion cream cheese, coming right up,” and ran off before we could clarify that she had asked for plain cream cheese. Because of these mistakes I double checked that my toast was in fact gluten free and was told yes, despite the fact that it didn’t have an allergy toothpick which I’ve come to expect from my experiences at other Friendly Toast location. Given the adverse reactions I’ve experienced in the past 12 hours I can say with a fair amount of confidence that is was NOT gluten free toast or there was some SERIOUS cross contamination issues. TLDR: Avoid this location if you have any allergies because they do not take any of the care I have come to expect from The Friendly Toast.

Always enjoy coming here due to the gluten free options they have. Always good friendly service, they take allergens seriously. Their bramble mamosa hits the spot! My only complaint is the coffee can be a bit bitter sometimes but other than that they are really consistent :)

Love the Bowl Me Over Bowl especially but never had something I didn't like from here. Love all the Gluten free options and Liz, our server was amazing and very attentive. Cannot reccomend enough!
