The Garden Berry

I don't normally write reviews but we visited on a long weekend. The gluten free chicken sandwich I ordered wasn't a sandwich. It was a slice of very stale, thick gf bread with a combo of cooked apple, mayonnaise and lettuce that was not appetising. My partner ordered a gf pasta dish. The pasta was overcooked, very mushy, and the sauce was as bland as baby food. A lot of salt and pepper needed to be added. We had no serviettes or cutlery. Strangely, the pasta came with just a tablespoon. We were highly disappointed and would not recommend this cafe for food.

Really good gluten free and good service. The gluten free buns taste fresh and are quite substantial. Our breakfast order didn't go though to the kitchen but the waiter noticed we hadn't received anything before we had the chance to ask. We were left with such a good impression we went back for lunch and again had great service and food. One small complaint was the cotoletta wasn't on the bone.

Day trip from Sutherland Shire to the beautiful town of Berry! Had lunch at The Garden Berry and it was amazing! From being greeted at the door, shown to our table (a lovely lounge/table setting in the outdoor garden area full of winter sun) exceptional service from each of the staff that assisted us, the meals, ohhhh yummm, my partner and Dad rate the open steak sandwich the best they have ever had !! All meal cooked and presented beautifully. My Mum is celiac, many GF options and she loved the Orange Cake so much she even bought a take away! Local wines and craft beer, perfect Sunday lunch.
