AVOID IF GLUTEN FREE Initially looked like a lovely little local pub whilst on our holiday, as it was bank holiday arrived on a whim we could get a table. Sat within the bar and not restaurant as was fully booked. The guy at the bar was lovely and welcoming, explaining what we needed to do to order etc, when ordering I explained I was gluten free and was asked if this was an allergy - spot on with someone with celiac! However, my chicken roast arrived with a yorkshire pudding and stuffing, asking if it was definitely gluten free the young male waiter had no clue. After going to check, he told me the yorkshire pudding was not gluten free, no apology, no concern or attempt to change my meal. I explained I can’t eat any of it as the yorkshire pudding has touched the rest of my food, to which the server rolled his eyes and huffed as he had to take my plate away. The food is overpriced for the quality!

Every time we come to Ludlow we come here, and every time we have an excellent experience. Food is top quality, staff are extremely friendly and atmosphere is very welcoming. My partner is coeliac and they have an incredibly good selection of gluten free options, as well as being extremely aware of gluten free requirements meaning we always feel confident eating there. Will no doubt be there again, would highly recommend to any visiting Ludlow
