The George

A great afternoon sat by the river. I walked to the door with the dog and straight away was greeted with a warm welcome. The dog was also warmly welcomed, this is a very dog friendly place. Asked if i would like a table for food or just drinks and swiftly shown to a nice table overlooking the river. Asked about the gluten free options and the waitresses were right on it and helped straight away. Food came within good time and was very very good washed down with nice Aspall cider on draft. After eating my main i remembered to enquire about the dog menu and selected the lamb frittata and ordered myself an eton mess. Both looked good and judging by how quickly the dog demolished his frittata (in a specific dog bowl no less) it was good. The staff were brilliant, the food was delicious, will definitely be stopping for lunch and evening meals again.

As a coeliac it's very hard to eat out but the staff at the George made it very easy. Waitress could tell me what I could eat off the menu and was told they could adapt most things. They were fully aware about cross contamination. The food was amazing, I will definitely be going back x
