The George on Collins

Handy place to eat if you’re heading to the Regent or Athaneum theatres. Great atmosphere. Emma looked after us beautifully. Plenty of gluten free options. Only one GF dessert but it was full of flavour.

My Fiance proposed at the george a year ago, and that night was fantastic! They set us up somewhere private, and after the question was popped my partner surprised me with all our friends showing up and the staff at The George came and congratulated us and provided us with a bottle of champagne. A year later we are back to celebrate 1 year being engaged, and the staff have provided us with a free glass of bubbles, and being fully attentive and interested in our engagement story. On another note, not only does the staff make you feel extra special, however the food is next level. I'm a celiac, and they are so accommodating to provide gluten free dishes, so I don't need to worry about any trace of cross contamination. I would absolutely recommend The George to everyone!

This was the first time dining at The George on Collins. As soon as we walked in, we felt very comfortable. The service was fantastic. Maelyn was very friendly and so helpful with the wine and food. We don’t normally eat dessert but after her recommendations we ordered two and they were delicious. I am gluten intolerant and she knew all the dishes that I could order.
