Very friendly staff and a lovely warm setting with cracking harbour views. One of our party is gluten free and they were able to accommodate this with no issue at all, even commenting that they had a second fryer to ensure it would not be contaminated. Highly recommended, though I'd suggest going in winter as in the summer it will be heaving!

What a great place to stop for a meal. Grant, Kurt and Jade were super accommodating, and Grant helped us out with local knowledge for our holiday. The food portions were generous and very tasty, and they were able to take care of the gluten intolerance of one of our party. Three of had the fish and chips and one had The Salt&Pepper Squid. The view and settings were very old world British and the view of the harbour was excellent. The Golden Lion is the setting for The Crab and Lobster of Doc Martin, so we were looking forward to visiting and we weren't disappointed. All round great experience.
