Fabulous gluten free food! We are visiting Canterbury and went for lunch, and it was so good, we went back for supper

Very impressed indeed! A quick visit for a cuppa whilst waiting for a train to arrive at the adjacent station...what a find.I only wish I lived in Canterbury!! At a wide range of individual stalls, all beautifully presented, there was an absolutely fantastic, & extensive array of fresh fish & shellfish, butchers fresh meats poultry and eggs, fruit , green and root vegetables, gourds, cheeses, cold meats, wines, preserves & honey, fresh breads, cake & pastries. Set amidst this feast were several small bistro & cafe type eating areas plus a larger more formal restaurant area in a gallery first floor area set to one side. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Prices overall looked very reasonable too. Cafe staff were welcoming & helpful and a morning cuppa there a very pleasant experience. The vaulted wooden roof beams and old wooden flooring added to the atmosphere .There were public conveniences set off apart from the foodhall / cafe areas though I didn't visit these. There was a modest parking area outside. I did just suggest to the bakery /patisserie staff that they're missing a trick not having any obviously gluten free produce for those of us ( an increasingly large number) in the community afflicted by the medical need to avoid gluten..but for the rest of you there are rich bakery pickings indeed. Lucky you if you live within reach of this fabulous market.
