Art deco gem in the heart of Hereford. Stunning interior sensitively restored, beautiful original fixtures such as light fittings. Room was lovely and spacious, everything clean. Sweet touches like local shortbread with the coffee/tea/kettle (there was also a pod coffee maker).
The food was part of why we chose The Green Dragon, coming from Bristol our expectations are set rather high. Happy to report everything exceeded our hopes. We had local Hereford beef and the helpful kitchen were very accommodating by swapping the advertised accompaniments for the veg that came with the chicken. The starter was particularly special - salmon and wasabi mousses. Our waiter recommended a fabulous wine too, not overpriced by any means either.
I'd say the cocktail menu needs a little work, if it was my bar I'd be going for 30s classics from the Diffords Guide, and absolutely there would be a Green Dragon signature martini!
Breakfast was epic - in scale and quality, and they cooked mine to order gluten free.
Really sweet staff, easy parking behind the hotel (NOT the NCP, they have their own but you pay when you get there) and the perfect location to explore a sweet little city.
